Samuraj is hired by Motorhistoriska Riksförbundet to digitise case management

Motorhistoriska Riksförbundet, the Swedish Federation for Historic Vehicles, has hired Samuraj to develop a comprehensive technical solution for the association's case management. Using smart digital tools uniquely developed for the organisation's needs, several of the most time-consuming processes are to be automated.

Motorhistoriska Riksförbundet (MHRF) represents the automotive history movement in Sweden and today has over 100,000 members in 200 affiliated local associations. During the fall of 2021, MHRF contacted Samuraj to conduct a technical feasibility study on the possibilities of utilising digital tools to strengthen their processes and working methods. After the feasibility study, Samuraj was tasked with developing a comprehensive digital solution for MHRF's case management, CRM and new web. A technically complex job, as each case is unique while still ideally becoming automated to the greatest extent possible.

– With the preliminary study, we had the opportunity to understand MHRF’s operations, needs and internal processes in depth. The previous solution was perceived as limited and required a lot of manual intervention from both members, club officials and staff. Together with MHRF, we have now developed several platforms that are easy for everyone to use, explains Anneli Lindgren, project manager at Samuraj.

MHRF's members have been able to apply via the website to take out insurance for their historic vehicles. The process for this, as well as several other aspects of the association's case management, has long been handled manually and has become a time-consuming paperwork burden for the staff. With the new case management system from Samuraj, the flow has been automated all the way from sending an application and booking an inspector to documentation and approval. This means major administrative resource savings for MHRF, which can now focus more on member issues and its core business.

– The new solution has all the functions that MHRF needs today, while being scalable and with a structure built to be ready for further additions or modifications to suit future needs, without being locked to any single supplier. We have automated the most time-consuming processes and also taken into account the varying digital habits that can be found among all car enthusiasts in the country. It should be easy to get involved in your passion, says Emil Vidmark, development lead at Samuraj.

As a national organisation that pursues issues of the preservation of the wheeled cultural heritage, MHRF has realised the importance of a digital evolution in order to carry on its work in an efficient manner. Now they want to continue their digitization journey together with Samuraj.

– From the very beginning, Samuraj has challenged us and our processes. They have made us think in new ways and not get stuck in old ruts. The entire project has been executed with an incredible attention to detail, resulting in the launch of a solution that creates great value for both the end user as well as our organisation. We are looking forward to continued cooperation, says Malin Erlfeldt, head of office at Motorhistoriska Riksförbundet.
