Samuraj is a new digital communication partner for Luleå Hockey

Samuraj and Luleå Hockey begin a collaboration that makes the agency a new digital communication partner for the organisation.

The first assignment for Samuraj was to produce Luleå Hockey's new intro show, which premiered during the first home game after the Covid-19 restrictions ended, against Rögle on February 19th. And now we have signed a three-year cooperation agreement.

After a successful first launch, Luleå Hockey chooses to hire Samuraj as a digital communication partner. Samuraj will produce new intro shows for the association's men's and women's teams as well as design and also animate the arena's digital ads for sponsors.

– From the first meeting, we could feel that Samuraj was very passionate about our mission and association. Luleå Hockey is a representative of the entire county of Norrbotten and for us it is a matter of course that our partners also want to take that position. With Samuraj, we get a partner who can boost our creative height and technical skill, while at the same time they do everything to understand us, our values and history. We look forward to developing the arena experience together with Samuraj, says Peter Jidström, marketing and sales manager at Luleå Hockey.

In 2018, Luleå Hockey invested in the very latest technology for arena experiences. It included, among other things, a new sound and light system, monitors and technology for ice projection in order to create a unique match setting in Sweden. With new intro shows, the association, together with Samuraj, wants to raise the bar even further.

In order to create an even better image of the association, Samuraj has taken part in Luleå Hockey's history and held talks with those who are and will remain the heart of the association - the supporters.

– We have previously had the goal of working with Luleå Hockey, one of the county's strongest brands. Now we are finally here, and everything that happens in the arena must have a strong Luleå DNA. Therefore, it has been very important to listen to those who come there game after game. With the intro, we want to evoke all the positive feelings, memories and values that exist at Luleå Hockey and send an open invitation to the community that the association represents, says Filip Haraldsson, copywriter at Samuraj. 

– It is with both deep respect and excitement that we shake hands with Luleå Hockey on a three-year commission agreement. We love to combine communication with community building. We’ll continue to challenge ourselves and the technology to maximise the experience in already well-attended and appreciated game events, says Johanna Öhman, CEO at Samuraj.
