Cross the finish line with Josefin Hellberg

We have the honor to present Josefin Hellberg, one of our new employees at Samuraj! She has stepped into the role of project manager with much gusto, and now it's your turn to get to know her better.

Favorite food... Palt (could be called northern Swedish dumplings, but northern Swedish people would cry with that description) with crispy pork and butter

In the headphones... Håkan Hellström and Veronica Maggio

Believe in… Teamwork!

Did you know that...

In a previous life, Josefin worked as a sports journalist and, according to her own statement, has spent over 5,000 minutes on the sidelines of various local studded football pitches. This does not include extra time.

Hi Josefin! How's it going?

It is just fine! Right now I'm sitting and planning the start of some new projects that will start here in January. There is a lot of exciting stuff going on!

Will there be a lot of planning in the role of project manager?

Yes, I would say so. Among other things, I set the budget and deadlines, and make sure all my colleagues know what their role and task is in each project. I also draw up communication plans for our customers, what efforts are to be made and what goals we are working towards. So there will be a lot of customer contact, which is a lot of fun!

What qualities would you say distinguish a brilliant project manager?

You must of course be able to keep several fires going at the same time. But in addition to that, constant sensitivity is needed to be able to pick up and meet the customer's needs - even in cases where they are not expressed so clearly. Straightforward and simple communication is the key!

And of course this suits you!

Haha yes, I hope so! I enjoy working on several projects at the same time and meeting new people and companies. You never know what it might be about when the phone rings!

And how are you enjoying yourself here at Samuraj?

I've always had a penchant for nice workplaces, and that's exactly what I'd say Samuraj is. So I'm enjoying myself very much! I have super nice colleagues, get to work both strategically and creatively, and have a lot of room to develop.

When you are not in the office, what do you do?

I have always liked to be active and have been involved in most sports growing up. These days it's mostly running, something I used to strongly dislike but now find meditative when no coach is screaming in the background.

We also know that you are an amazing party fixer. What three crucial ingredients do you have for a successful party?

  1. Good decorations. Think balloons in great quantities, preferably helium!
  2. A surprise. Like… a private bartender or a photo booth.
  3. Nice clothes! Being dressed up puts everyone in a slightly better mood.

Thank you Josefin! Have you, dear reader, not had enough of Josefin yet, or are you curious about any of us other more or less long distance running individuals? Send an email, call, or just knock during reasonable business hours, and we'll have a coffee and some talk to go with it..
